Faith doesn't come easy to me. But I have had experiences where, for just a moment, I get a glimpse of what others must be talking about.
For example, one afternoon Chris and I had spent the day horseback riding through the back-country of the Tetons, clearing trails with our guide. Around noon, we stopped to eat; finding a spot overlooking a valley of wildflowers. As we sat side by side, I could only hear the sounds of my own heart beat and the crackle of the fire pit behind me. And, I felt a part of something universal - a part of a marriage, a family, a community, a landscape, an existence. And, I couldn't help but feel that all of it was orchestrated by a musician much grander than myself.
