Clearly over the last few months, the turtle as received his fair share of kisses. Because, he fully understands what they are and how to give them. Sometimes when he's on my lap and we're playing a game, he will laugh and laugh and then grab my face, pull it towards him and plant a big wet kiss on my nose or cheek. He hasn't figured out that he needs to smack his lips to complete the action, but rather will just lay his wide open mouth on mine or Chris' face for a few seconds. It is the sweetest, most genuine thing in the world.
A colleague of mine asked yesterday, "So what makes all the pain and worry inherent with having a baby worth it?" And, of course there are a lot of answers to that question but turtle kisses are pretty high on my list.
