about me

I'm a New York City working mom who loves her boys (her husband and "the turtle"), family,  swimming, yoga, autumn, Paris, whole food, frozen grapes, black licorice, stinky cheese, farmers' markets, sunflowers, coffee, the Rocky Mountains, books, massages, and perfume.

I am married to Chris, an incredible writer/actor turned stay-at-home dad who amazes me with both his patience and fortitude.  Our first child, whom we call "the turtle", was born in spring 2010.

I like lists.

My list of "things to do" include:
Write a book
Drink more water
Remember birthdays
Be a better friend
Swim more often and
Visit Peru

My "hate list" is short and sweet. In no particular order: pumping, ketchup, bike riding, and easter egg hunts. I used to think I hated this mean girl from high school. But I got over it.

Chris and I cloth diaper, co-sleep, and baby wear; and I breast-fed for a year in spite of a medical history that made successful nursing unlikely. Our dream is to own a boutique that caters to those hoping to make natural and attachment parenting choices.

Though I try to live with grace and intention, I fall short at least 75% of the time. I often get on the subway in the evening wondering if I remembered to breathe at some point during the day.
