My whole family on our relatively tiny bed (a full). It was 2:00 in the morning, Chris was up finishing The Hunger Games - you literally can't put it down. The turtle woke up laughing and cooing, which woke me up, which brought the cat up on the bed. For just a moment the whole world stopped and there was nothing, literally nothing else to do, but be with the ones I love.

Skipping three subway stations in North Harlem to keep walking and visiting with friends who live on the Upper West Side.

The turtle lying next to me. His hand on my face. Eyes wide open. Cooing. And my chest feels like it might break open. It is so full of what I can only imagine is love. True wondrous love.
